We worked with Hillcrest Girls School and Benson Primary to help them produce their winning entrants for the Defra Climate Change project in partnership with WMnet.

Benson Primary produced a news programme at the ‘Centre of the Earth’. They came up with the concept of CCTV - Climate Change TV - and covered hot topics of local relevance including transport, litter and the weather. Hillcrest came to us with a storyboard about global climate change issues which we helped turn into a short animation.

Tom Powell from Defra said,

“ I thought that the things that the kids were doing were fantastic. They all had levels of commitment and maturity that I wasn't really expecting so I was thoroughly impressed!! The time and effort that they've all put into their different projects was brilliant and the results were there to see.”

The CCTV ( Benson ) entry won ‘Best use of the Environment’ whilst ‘Inside Every Foot There’s a Story’ ( Hillcrest) entry won ‘Clarity of the Climate Change Message’

Both winners will be showcased on the Defra site later this year.
